Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 to 3 to conduct an enquiry on the Petitioner's representation dated 11.07.2019 to cancel the birth entry of the Petitioner's son Salahudeen Rumi having 4th and 5th Respondents as his parents.

Heard Ms.Greetha Senthilkumar, learned counsel for the Petitioner, Mr. R. Venkatesh, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the First and Second Respondents and Mr. V. Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Government Pleader who takes notice for the Third Respondent and perused the materials placed on record apart from pleadings of the parties. 2.

The Petitioner had made a representation dated 11.07.2019 to the Third Respondent to cancel the registration of the birth of his son in the records of the Third Respondent, showing as if the Fourth and Fifth Respondents were his parents. As no action had been taken for the same, this Writ Petition has filed for a direction to the First to Third Respondents to dispose the same.

Learned Counsel for the Third Respondent, on instructions, states that by an order dated 08.11.2019, the aforesaid entry regarding the birth of the son of the Petitioner, showing the Fourth and Fifth Respondents as his parents, has been canceled and he has produced the copy of the same. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner has also acknowledged its receipt. Nothing remains for further consideration in this matter.

Recording the aforesaid subsequent events, the Writ Petition is disposed. No costs.
