The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.10.2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 309(4) and 351(3) of BNS, 2023, in Crime No.1061 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2.The case of the prosecution that on 07.10.2024 at about 9.30 a.m., while the defacto complainant was going near Bharathi Nagar for visiting his friend, the petitioner waylaid the defacto complainant and robbed Rs.300/- from him at knife point. Hence, the case. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner has been in custody since 07.10.2024. He would further submit that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner waylaid the defacto complainant and robbed Rs.300/- at knife point. He would further submit that there are four previous cases against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.
5.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
6.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and that the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
7.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed for the present.
