This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for non compliance of the order dated 17.08.2023 passed by this Court in W.P.No.26993 of 2014, thereby directing the respondent to reinstate the petitioner into service forthwith with service continuity and

50% of back wages and other attendant benefits. 2.

The learned counsel for the respondent is present. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner either in person or through pleader.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that as against the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.26993 of 2014, the respondent filed an appeal before this Court in W.A.No.434 of 2024. When the matter came up before the third Bench of this Court on 07.02.2024, the petitioner appeared and represented that she will not pursue the contempt petition till the disposal of the writ appeal.
