Respondent Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, directing the respondent police to alter the offence in the FIR in Crime No.626 of 2023 on the file of the respondent by adding Section 307 IPC to the offences registered already i.e., Sections 294(b), 323, 324, 506 Part II IPC r/w. Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

The Criminal Original Petition is filed by the defacto complainant to alter the FIR registered on 16.09.2023.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State submits that the investigation is not yet completed. If the materials furnished by the petitioner wants any alteration of charges, the same will be done in accordance with law, before filing the final report. Therefore, the petitioner is directed to furnish the materials, if any, to the Investigation Officer, enabling him to conduct the investigation with those information and complete the same.
