The writ petition was filed for a direction to release the Mahindra XYLO car bearing Registration Number TN-10-AM-3869 based on representation dated 02.08.2023.

2. In the counter affidavit of the second respondent, it is stated that the registration certificate was cancelled under Section 55(5) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. In view thereof, this writ petition has been rendered infructuous.
