This writ petition has been for direction to the respondents to renew and extend the fishery right lease period in respect of Vedeladi pond located at Kuthampakkam Village, Ranipet District for period of one year based on the representation dated 21.11.2022 and as per GO.Ms.No.332, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department, dated 17.11.1993 and not to conduct any further auction in respect of pond. 2.
Heard, the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.
It is seen that already the petitioner approached this Court for extension of lease period by giving representation and this Court in WP.No.17420 of 2022 by order dated 08.07.2022, directed the second respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 06.06.2022 seeking extension of fishing rights lease for a period of another six months. As directed by this Court, the second respondent considered the claim of the petitioner and extended the period of lease till December 2022. Thereafter, new auction was conducted for fishing lease rights. As such, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and this writ petition is devoid of merits and liable to be 2/4
dismissed.

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
