ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide electricity connection for agriculture purpose to the petitioner's land in survey No. 67/1, Ekadu Kandikai Village, Thiruvallur Distrit in pursuance of the Application No.5540619675 dated 28.06.2019 under tariff III A1 for Horticulture.
2. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the petitioner is the owner of the agricultural lands measuring an extent of 2 acres 30 cents in S.No.67 as per registered sale deed dated 15.07.1996 and also obtained patta in his favour. Such being the position, the petitioner made an application before the respondents for service connection on 28.06.2019 under tariff III A1 for the purpose of carrying agricultural operations. 2/5
However, the same has not considered till date and hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders within the stipulated time.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's application and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No 3/5
costs.
