Mr. B. Nedunchezhian, Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the First Respondent submits that fresh delimitation exercise would be taken in the bifurcated Villupuram District in which the Petitioner is a voter, and public hearing would be conducted for the same under Rule 8(d) of the Tamil Nadu Local Bodies Delimitation Regulations, 2017, and the Petitioner may make representation to the concerned authority in that regard within the time limit. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner would make representation to the concerned authority on the aforesaid terms.

Recording the aforesaid submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed. No costs.
