Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, Directing the respondent 1 and 2 to dispose the appeal dated 15.03.2024 and cancel the fraudulent patta issued by the 3rd respondent in the name of Late Manonmaniammal in respect of property bearing survey No. 85/1, with an extent of 2400 sq.ft each in plot No. 55, 56, Singlanthi post, Block-14, Thiruthuraipoondi Part 2,Thiruvarur District and further direct the respondent 1, 2 to initiate appropriate action as against 3rd respondent for issuance of fraudulent patta.

The limited relief claimed by the petitioner in the above Writ Petition is for a mandamus to respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of the appeal filed by him on 15.03.2024 within a specified time frame.
2. Heard the counsels on either side and perused the records.
3. Considering the limited request and also considering the fact that the petitioner's appeal dated 15.03.2024 has not been considered to date, the Writ Petition is allowed and the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 15.03.2024, within a period of 1 month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
