O R D E R

This civil revision petition seeks for expeditious disposal of H.R.C.O.P.No.57 of 2012 on the file of the learned Rent Controller, Principal District Munsif at Puducherry.

2. When the matter came up for admission on 21.12.2024, I called 1/4

for a report from the learned Principal District Munsif at Puducherry to state as to how long he requires to dispose of H.R.C.O.P.No.57 of 2012.

3. The learned Principal District Munsif at Puducherry has sent a report stating that the petitioner filed H.R.C.O.P.No.57 of 2012 for eviction of the respondent. It was dismissed for default on 20.08.2019 and was restored to file on 17.04.2021. H.R.C.O.P. is now adjourned to 24.01.2025 for further evidence of the respondent, if any. The report further states that the learned Judge is holding full additional charge of the post of Principal District Munsif, Puducherry, I Additional District Munsif, Puducherry and III Additional District Munsif, Puducherry from the month of September 2024. Therefore, he requests eight weeks time to dispose of H.R.C.O.P.No.57 of 2012.

4. Taking into consideration the report of the learned Trial Judge, there shall be a direction to the learned Principal District Munsif at Puducherry to dispose of H.R.C.O.P.No.57 of 2012 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, this civil revision petition stands ordered. No costs. 2/4
