Respondents Prayer:- Contempt petition has been filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, praying to punish the respondents Nos.1 to 6 for contempt of Court for willful disobedience & deliberate noncompliance/violation of the judgment dated 08.04.2024 passed by this Court in W.P.No.2366 of 2023.

ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondents for non compliance of the order dated 08.04.2024, passed by this Court in W.P.No.2366 of 2023, thereby directed the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of Mechanic with effect from 25.10.2000 on par with his co-worker, with all monetary and service benefits forthwith. 2.

The learned Special Government Pleader (Pondy) appearing for the respondents submitted that part of the order passed by this Court has been complied with. Insofar as the monetary benefit is concerned, the respondents filed an appeal before the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court and obtained stay in C.M.P.No.13483 of 2025 and W.A.No.1763 of 2025, by an order dated 16.06.2025.

In view of the above, this Contempt Petition is closed at present. The petitioner is at liberty to revive the contempt petition subject to the result of the Writ Appeal.
