This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the fifth respondent to de-freeze the petitioner's Bank account bearing No.484399987, so as to enable the petitioner to operate his account.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an account holder in the fifth respondent-Bank since 1998. While that being so, the petitioner's account has been frozen as per the communication received from the Cyber Crime Police, Punjab. Therefore, on 17.08.2024, the petitioner sent a mail to the Superintendent 2/5

of Police, National Cyber Crime Co-Ordination Centre, Punjab stating that the petitioner's account has been frozen and he has not involved in any illegal activities. However, there was no response from them, thereby the petitioner made a request to the fifth respondent-Bank to unfreeze his account. Since the petitioner's account remains frozen for the past three months, the petitioner has come up with the present writ petition seeking a direction to the fifth respondent to defreeze his account.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the fifth respondent submitted that the fifth respondent-Bank has not frozen the account of the petitioner.

4. Taking note of the above submission, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition and hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
