This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.12.2022 granting permission for the celebration of the 9th year of Lord Hanuman Jayanthi festival to be held on 23.12.2022 and procession on 24.12.2022 through 1) New bus stand, 2) Sacred Heart, 3) Ponniamman Koil Street, 4) Vedhakara Street, 5) Kottai Brameshwara Temple, 6) Nagaikadai Bazaar and passing through Krishnagiri road to Veera Anjaneyar temple.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct the celebration of the 9th year of Lord Hanuman Jayanthi festival to be held on 23.12.2022 and procession on 24.12.2022, the petitioner has sent a representation, dated 09.12.2022 to the first respondent. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/5

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.

4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.

5. Considering the rival submissions, this Court is of the view that the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 09.12.2022 and pass suitable orders in the manner known to law.
