This Court having believed the statement made by the respondents that they would release all the amounts due and payable to the petitioner in terms of the order passed by the Court, and closed the contempt petition on 07.06.2024, while directing them to release the amounts due to the petitioner within a period of one month and settle the pensionary benefits within a further period of three months, but the arrears of salary is stated to have been paid only yesterday (21.11.2024) and pensionary benefits are yet to be settled. The order alleged to have been violated by the respondents is dated 18.01.2017.

2. This Court has take a lenient view and closed the contempt petition, but the respondent appears to have taken advantage of the same and have not complied with the order as on date, inspite of specific time line fixed by this Court.

3. Hence, this Court is inclined to reopen the contempt petition and accordingly, the contempt petition closed by an order dated 07.06.2024 is reopened and the sub application is ordered.
