The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2019.
2. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition has been taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that her mother worked as a Primary School Teacher at Pallavaram Municipality Primary School from the year 1956. She was transferred to her native village 1/3
Ariyalur District in Thirumanur and placed at Thirumanur Panchayat Union School in the year 1970. In the year 1974, the petitioner's mother died intestate leaving behind her husband, petitioner, petitioner's sister and brother. After the death of the petitioner's mother, the petitioner's father made representation on 23.07.1996 to disperse the retirement benefits, family pension and other benefits of the petitioner's mother. The petitioner's father died in the year 1998. In the year 2001, the petitioner's sister, namely, R.Rita also died. Thereafter, the petitioner made several representations to the respondents to disperse her mother's retirement benefits, family pension and other benefits to her. However, till date the representations were not considered. Therefore, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to issue direction to the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2019, on merits and in accordance with law.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 22.01.2019 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on merits and in accordance with law.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
