PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records made in C.M.P.No.93/Goonda/Salem City/2023 dated 10.10.2023 on the file of the second respondent herein and quash the same as illegal and direct the respondents to produce the detenue Silambarasan @ Gopalakrishnan son of Kannan, 32 years, now confined at Central Prison, Salem before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.6555 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 22.11.2023, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
