O R D E R

The civil revision petition seeks for expeditious disposal of O.S.No.53 of 2023 on the file of the learned Subordinate Judge at Mettur, Salem District.

2. When the matter came up for admission on 19.11.2024, I called for a report from the learned Trial Judge to state as to how long he requires to dispose of the said suit.

3. The learned Subordinate Judge at Mettur, Salem District has submitted a report stating that the plaintiff had filed an application in I.A.No.4 of 2023 to amend the plaint on 18.10.2023. The learned Judge had taken charge as Subordinate Judge, Mettur on 18.09.2024. He had disposed of the said application on 02.12.2024 and the case has been now pending for carrying out amendment. The report further states that as many as 2703 cases are pending before him and therefore, he requests six months time to dispose of O.S.No.53 of 2023. 2/4

4. Taking into consideration the report of the learned Trial Judge, there shall be a direction to the learned Subordinate Judge at Mettur, Salem District to dispose of O.S.No.53 of 2023 on or before 30.04.2025.
