Respondents Prayer : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of 1/5

India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, issue direction directing the respondents 1 to 3 to issue suitable direction to the 4th and 5th respondents to issue Certificate as requested by the petitioner through representation dated 03.12.2022.

ORDER

By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal in the admission stage itself.

2. Mr.E. Sundaram, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents 1 to 5.

3. The petitioner's grievance is that even though, he had submitted a representation on 03.12.2022 requesting the 4th respondent to issue Tamil Medium certificate in his favour, till date, the said certificate has not been issued. The petitioner had applied for a public post under the PSTM quota. The petitioner had to submit a Tamil Medium Certificate for applying to the said public post. The petitioner has submitted a representation on 03.12.2022 to the respondents requesting them to issue Tamil Medium Certificate in his favour. Since the representation has 2/5

not been considered till date, he has filed this writ petition.

4. Heard Mr.R. Marudhachalamurthy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.E. Sundaram, learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 to 5.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the representation of the petitioner as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 4th and 5th respondents to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 03.12.2022 requesting for issuance of Tamil Medium certificate in his favour, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
