(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) Compliance Report was filed on 22.01.2026.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner requested to grant one day time to secure instructions from the petitioner.

3. When the matter is called today, for hearing, none appeared for the petitioner. Thus, this Court is inclined to record the Compliance Report and pass orders.

4. Para No.3 of the Compliance Report reads as under:-

3. I submit that the writ petitioner filed Contempt Petition No.2897 of 2022, for non compliance of Common order inWA.No.2094 of 2018 against W.P.No.1487 of 2014 and WP.No.4774 of 2022, dated 26.08.2022. However, the respondents herein filed Rev.Appl.No.122 of 2024 against the WP.No.4774 of 2022 order dated 26.08.2022. But, the same was dismissed by order dated 06.10.2025. Therefore, the respondents have complied with the common order dated 26.08.2022 and the writ petitioner was reinstated into service as Bill Collector, vide proceedings of the District Collector, Ariyalur in Na.Ka.No.2736/2016/TP 2, dated 15.12.2025 and his pay arrears were paid on 14.01.2026. Moreover, the writ petitioner has acknowledged his reinstatement into service as Bill Collector and the receipt of arrears without any due, up to 2/4

15.12.2025. Therefore, this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to accept this compliance report, purge the respondents from contempt of Court and close the Contempt Petition Nos.2897 of 2022, in the interest of justice.

5. In view of the above report filed by the 2nd respondent, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
