Heard Mr. V.P.K.Gowtham, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, Learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the Respondent and perused the materials placed on record, apart 1/4

from the pleadings of the parties.

In response to claim made in the Writ Petition to direct the Respondent to consider and dispose of representation dated 17.07.2023 made by the Petitioner, Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the Respondent has filed a memo dated 20.11.2023 stating as follows:- "

Arulmigu Mariamman Thirukovil located at Karuvalur Village, Avinashi Taluk, Tiruppur is administered by Hereditary Trustees for the last 85 years by virtue of the Board Order No. 2950 dated 30.10.1937, which was modified by order dated 07.11.1946. Further, by order dated 10.01.2021, Mr.Avinashi Gounder was recorded as the next in line of succession and thereafter, by order dated 23.01.2023 passed by the Joint Commissioner, HR & CE, Coimbatore District, one Mr. V.Loganathan has been recorded as the next in line of succession under the 54(1) of the Tamil Nadu HR & CE Act in the vacancy arising out of the death of Mr. Avinashi Gounder." In that backdrop, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the Writ Petition and he has made an endorsement to that effect in the court record.

Consequently, the Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. 20.11.2023 Index: Yes/No 2/4
