O R D E R

The petitioner herein alleging that the Title Deed got lost has given complaint through Online to Palladam Police. When the police called for enquiry, the petitioner did not turn up for the enquiry. Therefore, his earlier complaint was closed and thereafter the petitioner herein has given a fresh petition through Online to Sulur Police, which has been taken for investigation in CSR No.1864 of 2023.

2. The present writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondent-police to conduct enquiry regarding the missing document in the light of the Circular issued by the Director General of Police vide RC No.2029209/General.1(1)/2022 dated 01.04.2022 by considering the petitioner's lost document report and petition dated 17.08.2023.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), appearing on behalf of the respondents, submits that the first complaint of the petitioner to the Palladam Police got closed. To lodge the complaint before the Sulur Police, where the documents alleged to have been lost, accordingly, the petitioner has given Online complaint to the Sulur Police and the same has been registered in CSR No.1864 of 2023. If the petitioner appears in person and produce the documents and necessary information, the police will try to trace the documents and file the report based on the result of their attempt.

4. Recording the abovesaid submissions made on behalf of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), appearing on behalf of the respondents, the present writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
