The petitioner herein seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.244 of 2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 354, 379, 506(ii) IPC, with respect to an occurrence which took place on 26.07.2023.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that he has been falsely implicated as an accused in this case. Apprehending arrest from the respondent police, he seeks bail to the petitioner.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) stated that, at about 04.30 p.m., on 26.07.2023, the petitioner and all other accused had entered into the house of the defacto complainant and claimed that they were all police men and had threatened the defacto complainant. It is further stated that they mentioned the name of one Saravanan in this regard.

gd 4.Taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner, had impersonated himself as a police man and further in this regard investigation will have to be done as to whether in any other place they had used the modus operandi, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
