ORDER

(Made by P.B. BALAJI, J.) The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, to direct the first respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2024.

2. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that the petitioner and the residence of Jagadevi Village, Barugar Taluk, Krishnagiri District has given the representation to the first respondent regarding reservation given schedule tribes for the panchayat president post to be held in respect of 2/5

/Jagadevi Village, Barugar Taluk, Krishnagiri District.

3. According to the writ petitioner, despite the turn due for the schedule tribes, the respondents are proceeding to ignore the same and instead allot the post to other communities.

4. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that the representation dated 27.04.2023 is still pending with the first respondent.

5. We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3 and learned Government Advocate for fourth respondent.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, we deem it suffice if the first respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, in accordance with law, and as expeditiously, as possible preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
