settlement before the Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. Mr.J.Suresh, learned counsel for the petitioner/accused and Mr.M.Manivannan, learned counsel for the respondent/complaisant are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT This revision is filed against the Judgment dated 17.09.2021 in C.A.No.583 of 2018 on the file of the learned V Additional Sessions Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, confirming the Judgment of the learned XIX Metropolitan Magistrate, Rippon Building, Chennai in C.C.No.5856 of 2016. 2.The respondent Mr.R.Palani states that the cheque amount of Rs.2,50,000/- of which he received a sum of Rs.50,000/- only. 3.After due deliberation and consultation in C.C.No.5856 of 2016, both the parties have agreed to settle to a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakhs only) in full quit.

4.The petitioner Mr.B.Sugumaran has brought a bankers cheque for a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- which has been received by the respondent. 5.As the matter has been settled the sentence and conviction is set aside. 6.The Civil Revision Case is disposed of accordingly. 2/3
