O R D E R

The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to issue passport to the petitioners by considering their applications within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Mr. G.Subramanian, learned Central Government Standing Counsel takes notice for the 1st respondent and Mr.S.Balaji, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) takes notice for the 2nd respondent.

3. It is the case of the petitioners that they have submitted an application dated 29.07.2025 before the 1st respondent seeking to renew their passports along with necessary documents. However, the same is kept pending on the file of the 1st respondent citing pendency of FIR as against the petitioners on the file of the 2nd respondent. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the application/representation made by the petitioners within the time that may be stipulated by this Court. 5. Learned Central Government Counsel as well as the learned Government Advocate for the respondents have no objection to the said order being passed.

6. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider the application/representation dated 19.07.2025 made by the petitioners and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners as well as the aggrieved persons if any, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed with the aforesaid direction. No Costs.
