This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to find out the whereabouts of the petitioner's son D.Ranjith 2/5

Kumar, aged 27 years, bearing Passport No.N4917246 and to rescue him.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his son has gone to Dubai and joined as Seaman in Emirates Shipping Co.LLC, and thereafter his whereabouts were not known.

3. A counter has also been filed by the respondents 1 and 2. It is stated in the counter that the petitioner's son is not in possession of Indian Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) and his name also has not been registered in the Indian National Database of Seafarers. Further in the additional report filed by the respondents it is indicated that the petitioner's son has left to India on 21.11.2017 as per the records maintained in the Ministry of External Affairs website.

4. Such view of the matter, the petitioner's son has left to India which has been recorded in the Ministry of External Affairs website and therefore no further orders could be passed in the this writ petition. Accordingly this writ petition is closed. No costs.
