ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, seeking issuance of Legal Heirship Certificate to the petitioner, consequent to A.No.TN-7202200061532 dated 06.09.2022.

2.In the affidavit filed, it had been stated that his father, V.Marimuthu died on 15.02.2003 and his mother, Thangammal died on 13.04.1998. The petitioner claims to be the only legal representative of both V.Marimuthu and Thangammal. After receiving the death certificates of both his parents, he had applied for Legal Heirship Certificate through online. It is stated that though an enquiry had been conducted by the 2nd respondent / Village Administrative Officer, the Legal Heirship Certificate had not been issued. 3.Therefore, a direction is given to the respondent, that after examining the records submitted by the petitioner, if the petitioner is eligible for grant of Legal Heirship Certificate, the said certificate should be issued on or before 28.02.2023.

4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
