Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd and 5th respondents herein to consider the petitioners representations dated 25.03.2025 and to delete the wrong entry of Sircar Purampoke-Poonga in the Computer Chitta and the Extract from the Town Survey Filed Register in respect of an extent of 487.76 sq meters in S.Nos.25/ 4G1 part, 25/4H1, 25/4I1, and 25/4J1, situated in T.S.No.20, Block No.24, ward No.F, Boothamur Village, Vriddhachalam Town and Taluk, Cuddalore District, and consequently issue a corrected patta, Computer Chitta and Extract from the Town Survey Field Register in favour of the petitioner in terms of the order of the 2nd respondent dated 15.03.2023 in Na.Ka. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the 3rd and 5th respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2025 and to delete the wrong entry of Sarcar Purampoke "Poonga" in the Computer Chitta and the Town Survey Filed Register in respect of the subject property.

2. Mrs.S.Indhu Bala, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petition purchased the subject property vide sale deed dated 02.09.1992. Thereafter, on 28.07.2000, the 3rd respondent passed an order subdividing the subject land and accordingly, granted a separate manual patta in the name of the petitioner. Under these circumstances, the 5th respondent had wrongly described the subject property as Sarcar Purampoke "Poonga" in Computer Chitta and Town Survey Field Register. To rectify the said error, a representation was made by the petitioner on 25.03.2025. However, the said representation was not considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this petition. 3/7

5. In reply, after taking instructions from the Department, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent requests this Court to grant 3 weeks time to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation.

6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

7. In the case on hand, the petitioner had purchased the subject property vide sale deed dated 02.09.1992. 8. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents 3 & 5 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 3 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

9. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
