PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records of the 2nd respondent in detention order in No.457/BCDFGISSSV/2023 dated 10.10.2023 passed by the 2nd respondent under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and set aside the same as illegal and unconstitutional and also direct the respondents to produce the detenue Paulson, S/o.Aari, TPDA No.4817 aged 41 years, now confined in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this Court and set him at liberty.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.6575 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 22.11.2023, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
