The writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent corporation to accept the resignation given by the petitioner and to settle his monetary benefits. 2.

It is seen from records that the petitioner has joined the respondent corporation as a Driver in the year 1997. Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated by the respondent corporation in the year 2016 against the petitioner for unauthorized absence. In the meantime, the petitioner has submitted his resignation letter and the same has also not been accepted. The petitioner had also given his explanation for the charge memo issued by the respondent corporation. At present, the second show cause notice has been issued by the respondent corporation for imposing punishment for the unauthorized absence.

Taking into consideration the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the respondent corporation is directed to pass final orders in the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Depending upon the decision taken in the disciplinary proceedings, the respondent corporation shall consider the representation made by the petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks thereafter.
