This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2022 granting Police protection for the celebration of the Aravan Kovil Temple festival to be held from 28.12.2022 to 30.12.2022 situated at Kurichi Village, Madukkarai Taluk, Coimbatore District, to the petitioner.
2.The Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is apprehending danger to his life during the Aravan Kovil Temple festival to be held from 28.12.2022 to 30.12.2022 situated at Kurichi Village, Madukkarai Taluk, Coimbatore District festival. In this regard, petitioner has sent a representation, dated 10.12.2022 to the respondents. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the 2/5
respondents submitted that the respondent Police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.
4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.
5. Considering the rival submissions, this Court is of the view that the second respondent/Police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 10.12.2022 and pass suitable orders in the manner known to law.
