On 23.01.2024, the learned counsel for the petitioner represented that the petitioner died on 17.11.2023 and sought time to bring the legal heirs of the deceased petitioner on record. Acceding to the petitioner's request, the matter was adjourned to 22.02.2024. On 27.02.2024, at request of the learned counsel for the petitioner the matter was adjourned again on 05.03.2024. On 28.08.2024, when the matter was taken up for hearing there was no representation on the side of the petitioner. Therefore, this Court directed the Registry to post the matter under the caption "for dismissal". Even today, there is no representation for the petitioner and further the petitioner has not taken any step to bring the legal heirs on record. It is therefore clear that the petitioner is not inclined to prosecute the matter and hence, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
