Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner representation dated 31.07.2024 within the stipulated period of time and further give the direction directing the respondent to issue the corrected (dated & father name) birth certificate within the stipulated period of time. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider her representation dated 31.07.2024 seeking correction in the date of birth and father's name in the birth certificate issued to the petitioner.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the date of birth was wrongly mentioned in the birth certificate as 20.02.1991 instead of 20.02.1992. It is also stated that in the father's name coloum, her grandfather's name was entered. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 31.07.2024 seeking correction of the entries in the birth certificate and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr. A.C.Manibharathi, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the petitioner has to file a proper application along with necessary documents and on such application, her request will be considered, on merits, in accordance with law.

4. In view of the above submission made by the learned Standing 2/4

Counsel, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the petitioner to file a fresh application along with necessary supporting documents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. On filing of such application by the petitioner within a stipulated time, the second respondent shall consider the same and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of six weeks from the date of filing of application.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
