Crl.M.P.Nos.19521, 19524, 19525 & 19526 of 2023 in Crl.O.P.Nos.14515, 14519, 14524 & 14529 of 2023 A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.

These petitions have been filed seeking to grant further period of six months to complete the investigation and to file the final report as per the directions given by this Court in Crl.O.P.Nos.14515, 14519, 14524 and 14529 of 2023 dated 07.07.2023.

2. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that this Court by an order dated 07.07.2023 has directed the Investigating Agency to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of four months from 07.07.2023. The investigating agency has been effectively investigating this case, however, there was some delay in collecting the Super Check Report from TNEB, thereby, the investigation was not completed within the stipulated time. Therefore, he sought further time to comply with the order passed by this Court.

3. In support of the above prayer, Ms.M.Subashini, The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption Unit, Namakkal District, has filed the affidavits before this Court.

4. Considering the reasons and the requests made by the investigating agency, this Court feels it appropriate to extend the time by four months.

5. Accordingly, these Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions stand ordered and the time granted by this Court in Crl.O.P.Nos.14515, 14519, 14524 and 14529 of 2023 dated 07.07.2023 to complete the investigation and to file the final report is further extended by four months from today.
