Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuing a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to complete the patta name transfer proceedings in virtue of the approval order passed by the Zonal Deputy Tahsildar, Tindivanam Taluk dated 16.02.2017 on petitioner's patta name transfer application (2016/0103/07/028909) dated 14.11.2016 within a stipulated time.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to complete the patta name transfer proceedings in virtue of the approval order passed by the Zonal Deputy Tahsildar, Tindivanam Taluk dated 16.02.2017 in respect of the petitioner's patta name transfer application dated 14.11.2016 within a time frame. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 2.When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, the

learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the 3rd respondent had issued patta in respect of nine Survey Numbers and rejected in respect of two Survey Numbers viz., Survey Nos.72/11 and 72/13. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would file an appeal as per the provisions of Patta Pass Book Act in respect of the disallowed portion. So far as the action against the 4th respondent, the learned counsel submitted that in view of the averments stated in Paragraph - 10 of the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, the authorities should initiate action against the 4th respondent viz., the Village Administrative Officer by name Mrs.Hemavathi. 3.Ms.A.Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent had already initiated Departmental proceedings against the said Hemavathi and she has also been transferred to some other place.

4.The submissions made by the learned counsel on either side is recorded and the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
