Prayer in both WPs.: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS, directing the first respondent herein namely the Government of Tamil Nadu represented by the Additional Chief Secretary to Government Home (Prisons II) Department Fort St. George Chennai 9 to issue suitable Government Orders to the effect of regularizing the services of the petitioner with effect from the date of her first appointment namely 29.1.1998 to 21.2.2006 the date of her initial appointment when she worked as a Temporary Female Escort Warder by taking into account the above period of service rendered by the petitioner with attendant service and monetary benefits and to condone the break in service also and consequently direct the first respondent herein to pay the resultant arrears arising out of such regularization to the petitioner and to issue order in the light of the judgement of this Court in W.A.No.635 of 2011 dated 12.04.2011 G.O)Ms.) No.952 Home (Prison II) Department dated 29.12.2017 within a short date that may be fixed by this Court.
For Petitioners in both WPs : Mr.K.S.Govinda Prasad For Respondents in both WPs : Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, Spl.G.P COMMON ORDER The petitioner is working as Female Escort Warder Grade II and filed a Writ Petition to issue a direction to the 1st respondent, The Government of Tamilnadu to issue suitable Government Orders to the effect of regularizing the services as Female Escort Warder Grade II with effect from the date of their initial appointment on 29.01.1998 and 21.02.2006 respectively, with attendant, service and monetary benefits attached to the said post of Female Escort Warder Grade II and all other promotion benefits also and to revise their pension on reaching superannuation and pay the resultant arrears within a time-frame fixed by this Court.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to give a representation to the respondents and on such representation, directs the respondents to consider the same and pass appropriate orders therein in accordance with law.
3. Considering the limited request now made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court permits the petitioner to give representation to the respondents and this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation, if any, given by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.
4. Accordingly, the Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
