ORDER
This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu.W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025.
2. This Case in Crime No.117 of 2005 dated 12.04.2005 is registered for alleged offences under Section 409 of Indian Penal Code. The allegation in this case is that the employee of the post office misappropriated D.BHARATHA CHAKRAVARTHY, J.

Suo Motu TR.No.10709 of 2025 rna the amount deposited by the common public. It is stated the case is pending from the year 2005 because it is stated that the employee subsequently got mentally disturbance and he has gone away from home and remains untraceable. Thus, since the accused is mentally ill no useful purpose will be served by continuing the case also. But, however, sometime he can claim service benefits from the Postal Department. In view of the same, this is a fit case under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. This C.C shall be treated as closed. However, with liberty to the prosecution and continue the same if the accused resurfaces and if he is found to be mentally well enough to understand the consequences of the case. With the above observations, C.C stands closed.

Accordingly, the proceedings in C.C.No.300115 of 2010 on the file of District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Ranipet, Ranipet Taluk, Ranipet is quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of. 08.10.2025 rna The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
