ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.,] (1)The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 03.11.2023 made by the petitioner for premature release of her husband namely D.Pudhu Raja, son of Deveraj, aged 51 years Ct.No.2034, now confined in the Central Prison - 1, Puzhal, Chennai-66 under the scheme of G.O[Ms] No.488 for premature release of life convicts within a reasonable period. (2)The learned Additional Public Prosecutor accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

(3)Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is prayed for in this

writ petition, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation or on the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of this petition, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.11.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner herein.
