ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by R.Suresh Kumar J.) The prayer sought for herein is to permit the petitioner/appellant to deposit the balance Award amount (inclusive of all accrued interest) of Rs.88,29,664.54/- before the Registrar of this Court to be kept in fixed deposit till the disposal of the present Writ Appeal. 2.Pursuant to the common Award and also pursuant to the interim order granted by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court on 12.02.2024, the petitioner/appellant already deposited a sum of Rs.50,00,000/-. At this juncture, now the present petition is moved by the petitioner/appellant seeking permission of this Court to deposit the remaining Award amount which includes interest accrued as on date so as to avoid running of further interest on the shoulders of the petitioner/appellant.

3.We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/appellant and the learned counsel for the second respondent.

4.We feel that the prayer is innocuous in nature and no prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petition is allowed. Hence, the petition is ordered and the petitioner/appellant is directed to deposit the remaining Award amount including the interest accrued, in the Writ Appeal Account within a period of one (1) week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.Post the main Writ Appeal for final hearing in the second week of November 2025.
