Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 14.10.2024.

Seeking a mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 14.10.2024, the petitioner is before this Court.

The grievance of the petitioner is that proceedings had been initiated on the basis of a complaint given by a neighbouring land owner one Selvam that 0.14 3⁄4 cents of his lands have been wrongly included to the petitioner's and his brother's land. On the basis of this complaint, the Tahsildar given a report to the Revenue Divisional Officer stating that there is an error.

3. The Revenue Divisional Officer on the basis of this report 2/5

without enquiry and without notice to the petitioner had cancelled the patta for the entire extent of 70 cents. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the 2nd respondent on 14.10.2024. The petitioner has filed a Writ Petition seeking an early disposal of the said appeal.

4. Though the complaint has been given in respect of an extent of 14 3⁄4 cents of land, the patta for the entire land has now been cancelled. Therefore, a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the said appeal, within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
