Prayer: This petition is filed under article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 28.10.2024 within the time frame and pass orders.

ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 28.10.2024 within the time frame and pass orders. 3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Technical Assistant by the second respondent vide order dated 02.04.2019, wherein he was directed to report duty on 24.04.2019. Hence, the petitioner joined duty on 24.04.2019. The sum and substance of the case is that the Respondent has issued a recruitment Notification on 24.01.2024 calling for the application to the post of Assistant Engineer ( Electrical) and the petitioner also applied to the said post. of the petitioner is that the respondents are fixing the length of service w.e.f from date of joining instead of date of appointment which is not correct. It is pertinent to note that as per the instructions of the respondent only the petitioner joined duty on 24.04.2019 even though he received the appointment order on 02.04.2019. Whileso, now considering the date of joining for fixing the length of service instead of date of appointment is not correct. Therefore, the petitioner has given representation to the respondents on 28.10.2024, however, the same was not considered till date. Hence, this petition.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice if a direction is given to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.10.2024.

5. The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that they will consider the case of the petitioner and pass orders in the manner known to law.

6. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.10.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
