(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The present sub application has been filed to permit the petitioner to reopen the contempt petition which was closed on 12.03.2024 in contempt petition No.289 of 2024.

The learned Counsel for the respondent Metropolitan Transport Corporation (Chennai) Ltd., would submit that the benefits due to the contempt petitioner as per the directions of this Court have been settled. 3.

Mr.V.Ajoy Khose, the learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that there is an enormous delay in implementing the orders of this Court. Therefore, grant of interest is to be considered. 4.

We find that the amount due to the contempt petitioner has already been settled and any difference amount or interest or otherwise, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy under the Industrial Disputes Act.
