Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the 1st respondent vide GO Ms.No. 479 Law (Administrative) Department dated 3.10.2022 relating to removal of he petitioners name from the rolls as Notary public from the official register for Notary public and quash the same and direct the 1st respondent to receive and consider the application for renewal of license from the petitioner as Notary public in the city of Chennai For the Petitioner :

The petitioner, a practicing advocate was appointed as a Notary. This required that periodical statements of work done must also be submitted. The license must also be renewed. For various reasons, the petitioner's term as Notary stood frustrated and an order in this regard had been passed by the respondents. Questioning that particular order, the present writ petition has been filed.
2. A direction is given to the petitioner to apply online afresh for renewal of his Notary which had been actually cancelled by the respondents.
3. Let him also give his explanation why he did not respond to the notices issued. Let that particular application and his explanation be reconsidered by the respondents and a report thereof be filed in Court.
4. The petitioner may file his application online along with enclosures either through the Principal Judge, City Civil Court, or directly to the respondents. Such application is to be filed on or before 2/4
10.03.2023. Thereafter, let necessary orders be passed by the respondents. Let not the earlier order of the respondents weigh in the minds of the respondents and let the present application and the explanation be considered afresh.
5. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
6. If the application is received, the respondents may examine the same and the explanation given, within a further period of three weeks from the date of receipt of such application.
