ORDER

The Civil Revision Petition is taken up for final disposal at the Admission stage itself.

2. This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to dispose the I.A.No.154 of 2017 in H.M.O.P.No.969 of 2016 pending on the file of IV Additional Family Court, Chennai.

3. In view of the order going to be passed in the Civil Revision Petition, notice to the respondent is dispensed with.

4. According to the petitioner, the respondent/husband has filed a petition in H.M.O.P.No.969 of 2016 for divorce. In which, the petitioner herein filed a petition under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act seeking for maintenance in I.A.No.154 of 2017. Even though the application has been filed in the year 2017, so far the application has not been disposed of by the Family Court. Hence, the present Revision has been filed.

4. Considering the limited prayer, sought in the revision, without going into the merits of the case and also the fact that the application is pending from the year 2017, the IV Additional Family Court is 2/4

directed to dispose the I.A.No.154 of 2017 in H.M.O..No.969 of 2016 within a period of four(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving opportunity to both the parties, on merits and in accordance with law.

5. With the above directions, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
