ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking release of vehicle namely, Bolero Pickup bearing Reg.No.TN-29-BP-1830, which had been seized by the 2nd respondent, Inspector of Police, CSCID Dharmapuri Police Station on 10.08.2022 for allegedly transporting 40 bags of rice each containing 50 KG totally 2000 KG, which rice was meant to be distributed to the general public.
2.Let me not probe further into the aspect. The learned Additional Government Pleader had forwarded a communication issued by the 2nd respondent to the 1st respondent, wherein proceedings under Section 6A of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 are to be initiated and proceeded with. The petitioner may therefore approach the 1st respondent / District Revenue Officer, Dharmapuri on 11.01.2022 between 11.00 a.m to 2.00 p.m and place a representation. I am confident that the said representation would be addressed by the 1st respondent in manner known to law.
3.With the above observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
