Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue "Kurumans" Scheduled Tribe Community Certificate to the petitioner's daughter N.Mahalakshmi by considering the application of the petitioner dated 26.07.2019 in accordance with law within a reasonable time as may be fixed by this Court. The present writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondent to issue "Kurumans" Scheduled Tribe Community Certificate to the petitioner's daughter N.Mahalakshmi by considering the application of the petitioner dated 26.07.2019 in accordance with law within a reasonable time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

3. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendiran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the entire materials on record. 2/6

5. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner belongs to 'Kurumans' Scheduled Tribe Community. She made an application dated 26.07.2019 to the respondent for issuance of 'Kurumans' Scheduled Tribe Community Certificate for her daughter M.Mahalakshmi enclosing the community certificate issued to the petitioner dated 07.04.1997 and her husband's community certificate. The respondent has not passed any order till date on the application submitted by the petitioner. In such circumstances, the petitioner has come out with the present writ petition.

6. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the application of the petitioner dated 26.07.2019 will be considered and necessary orders will be passed within the time frame fixed by this Court.

Considering the above submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and nature of relief sought for in the present writ petition, the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 26.07.2019, after affording opportunity to the petitioner to produce all the certificates relied on by the petitioner and pass orders 3/6

on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
