By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's father while in service as Conductor died on 23.03.2010. Thereafter the petitioner's mother made representation dated 10.11.2013 seeking compassionate ground appointment, and the same was received by the first respondent on 16.11.2013, the acknowledgment of which has also been annexed with the typed set of papers filed along with this writ petition. Thereafter several representations were submitted and finally on 24.01.2019 also a representation was submitted but till date the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.

3.Heard both sides.

4.The petitioner claims that after the death of the petitioner's father, representation was made within three years and the acknowledgment for the same is also available. Therefore, I am inclined to issue a direction to the first respondent. Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.11.2013 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, if the same is available on file.

5.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
