T.V.THAMILSELVI, J.

This matter was taken up for hearing under the caption "For Clarification" today.

2. Earlier, this Court by an order dated 23.12.2022 granted bail to the petitioner and also issued direction. However, in para-7 of the order, instead of giving direction to the concerned District Collector to grant interim compensation as per the Victim Compensation Scheme, a direction was given to the concerned Legal Services Authority. Hence, the matter is listed today.

3. In the said circumstances, paragraph-7 of the order is clarified as follows:

In Para 7 at Page 5 "7. Further, as per FIR, the deceased was running an eatery shop and he suffered with diabetic and he is having two minor children, who are aged 14 years and 8 years and both have lost their father due to the alleged occurrence. Hence, this Court recommends that it is a fit case to refer, as per 357(A) (1)(2) 1/3

and (6) of Cr.P.C. The Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Villupuram, is hereby directed to pass appropriate order to the District Collector, Villupuram for disbursing the compensation amount of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) i.e. Rs.50,000/- each in the name of the two minor children of the deceased as interim compensation under the guardianship of any one of the maternal grandparents of the children, in post office fixed deposit till they attain majority in the manner known to law within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The maternal grandparent is permitted to withdraw the interest accrued till the children attain majority and utilize the same for the welfare of the children. "

4. Registry is directed to incorporate above correction in the Order of this Court in Crl.O.P.No. 31919 of 2022 dated 23.12.2022 and issue fresh order copy to the petitioner.
