ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner by passing suitable order.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had let out her premises to one Uma Thirumurugu who is an advocate, for her residential purposes; since there was some dispute between the petitioner and the said tenant, the petitioner had filed a petition for eviction and got an order; subsequently, the said tenant had vacated the premises and handed over possession to the petitioner; all of a sudden after three months the erstwhile tenant had filed a complaint by stating that the petitioner had broken the lock of the premises and had stolen away the articles; on the basis of above false complaint, the respondent police is harassing the petitioner to hand over the key to the de facto complainant. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the petitioner had given a representation dated 13.12.2022 to the respondent police by listing all the documents including the order of the Court.

3. The learned Government Advocate submitted that based on the complaint given by Uma Thirumurugu current paper enquiry has been initiated and the same is pending.
4. Since the petitioner has given all the materials to the respondent police, there is no necessity for the respondent police to make frequent visit to her residence or to call for enquiry. Since the petitioner is a woman, the respondent police is expected to follow due procedure contemplated under law while enquiring a woman.
5. Since current paper enquiry is pending, the respondent police is directed to complete the enquiry and consider the materials produced by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed.
