This application has been filed to grant an order of leave to sue against the first respondents 2 to 8/defendants 2 to 8.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the plaintiff submitted that the consignments were discharged by the plaintiff as per request of second defendant to first defendant, who is carrier. Though defendants 2 to 8 residing outside the jurisdiction of this Court the goods were consigned within the jurisdiction of this Court and major part of the cause of action arose in Chennai.

3. Having regard to the nature of allegations and consignments discharged in Chennai Port within the jurisdiction of this Court and first defendant being the carrier. It appears that cause of action arose within the jurisdiction of this Court.

4. Accordingly, the application is ordered as prayed for. 27.11.2019 rst Note: Registry is directed to number the Suit if it is otherwise in order and list the matter on 28.11.2019.
